EPR  for Electrical and Electronic Typewriters is compulsory and the producers shall get the EPR Registration from the CPCB. The E-waste Management Rules prescribe these compliances. The bulk consumers of these electrical and electronic typewriters need to deposit the e-waste generated at the end-of-life of the product to the producers, refurbishers or recyclers. These typewriters fall under the EPR regulations and the producers shall comply with their respective EPR obligations for a particular year. These procedures mark the importance of sustainable development which we can achieve by recycling and reusing the parts of wasted typewriters. In case of non-fulfilment of these EPR guidelines, the producers of electrical and electronic typewriters may be penalised.
