EPR Authorization is mandatory for Electric Cookers

Electric cookers are appliances that use electricity to generate heat and cook food. They consist of heating elements, typically located on the top or bottom of the appliance, that produce high temperatures for cooking purposes. Electric cookers can come in various forms, including stovetop electric cookers and electric ovens. These devices use electrical power to work and hence contain various components that are dangerous for the environment. For this reason, the producers of these Electric Cookers need to obtain EPR Authorisation for Electric Cookers from the Central Pollution Control Board before starting the manufacturing process. EPR policy further prescribes that producers process the e-waste every year equivalent to the products placed by such producers in the last year.
