Before the introduction of Drugs (4th Amendment) Rules, 2021, the validity of the AYUSH License was extended up to 5 years. By conforming to this, one had to undergo an exhaustive process of renewal before the expiry, with which the validity of the newly introduced rules extended the validity for a lifetime. Unless revoked, it is eligible for online submissions and self-compliance declarations. On the other hand, a GMP certificate is validated every five years, followed by regular inspections of the manufacturing facility.

Government Fees for AYUSH Manufacturing License Registration

According to the newly proposed ruling of the 4th Amendment Drug Rules, the fee for an AYUSH License has been increased from 1000 to 2000 per Ayurveda, Unani, and Siddha products. ASU fees for ten proprietary drugs even increased to 3,000.
