Introduction: West Bengal Rupashree Prakalpa

Rupashree Prakalpa is a West Bengal state government initiative that provides Rs. ₹25000 One-time financial grant for financially stressed families at the time of marriage of their adult daughters. This assistance will be given to those girls whose family annual income is up to 1.5 lakhs.

Let us tell you here that the Kanyashree scheme launched by the Government of West Bengal on 8 March 2013 has been appreciated internationally. For this, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee was presented the United Nations Public Service Award in London. After this, the Rupashree scheme was announced by the state government in the budget session 2018-19.

Features of West Bengal Rupashree Scheme 2021 - 2022

• Under the rupashree prakalpa yojana, the beneficiary will have to fill the application form and submit it to the offices of the local bodies or Block Development Officer (BDO) before marriage.
• The beneficiary of Rupashree Prakalpa scheme will be deposited 25000 rupees in the bank account of the girl before the marriage by the state government.
• The payment under this scheme will be done online only.
• The benefit of Rupashree Prakalpa scheme will be available only to the native residents of the state, whose family annual income is less than 1.5 lakh.

How to Apply for West Bengal Rupashree Scheme 2022

• To get the benefit of this scheme, the girl has to download the application form before marriage, The application form of the Rupashree Prakalpa scheme can be downloaded from http://wbcdwdsw.gov.in/ It is available free of charge from the following offices:
• Fill it properly and attach the relevant documents and submit it to the local bodies, Block Development Officer (BDO) or municipal office.
• After successful verification, Money will be given in the applicant's bank account through IFMS.

Documents Required For Rupashree Prakalpa Scheme

• Applican Details with Self-attested photo-copy of any one of the following: Birth Certificate / Voter ID card / PAN Card / Madhyamik Admit card / AADHAR card / Government recognized School Leaving Certificate 
• Never-married Status with Self-declaration 
• Family income with Self-declaration 
• Proof of Residence with  Self-Declaration 
• Self-attested photocopy of a page from a bank book that includes the account holder's name, account number, bank address, IFS code, MICR number.
• Marriage Invitation Card
• School Leaving Certificate 
• Proof of Age of Prospective Groom: Photocopy of any one of the following: Birth Certificate / Voter ID / PAN Card / Madhyamik Admit Card / Aadhar Card / School Leaving Certificate recognized by Govt.
• Coloured passport size photographs of the applicant and the prospective groom.

• Office of the Block Development Officer (BDO) if the applicant resides in a rural area.
• Office of the Sub Divisional Officer (SDO) in case the applicant resides in the city area.
• Office of the Commissioner if the applicant resides in the Corporation area.
