Electric trains and car racing sets are toys, leisure and sports equipment that run on electricity and produce e-waste at the end of their life. Producers of electric trains and car racing sets need to obtain e-waste management authorisation for these toys. Such products need to be recycled, refurbished or disposed of safely to ensure that the harmful substances used in their electric circuits do not harm the environment in any manner. When producers get the EPR Registration they also need to comply with the Extended Producer Responsibility under which they need to manage e-waste of a certain amount based on the production of toys by the last financial year. Non-compliance to the same may lead to penalties for the producers.
