With the increase in the crime rate, the increase in registering Private Security Agency (PSA) has increased. Private Security Agency Services (PSA) provide the services of armed and unarmed security guards for protection. PSA helps in security of the world by providing services like patrol services, bodyguard, guard dog, parking security etc. Private security agencies can provide security services to private and government companies, restaurant, guesthouses and hotels, housing societies, private bungalows etc. The PSAs are registered and regulated under Private Security Regulation Act, 2005 (PSARA).
PSARA license is mandatory license required by all PSA before starting their business or before commencing their operation. Without obtaining this license, no PSA can provide their guards to any entity or any corporate office. The Private Security Agencies acts as an equivalent to the police in terms of providing the security to the society. Private Security Agencies Regulation Act, 2005 (PSARA) regulates the operations of PSAs.
