This equipment is also like the telephone but it has the capability of recording, playing and communicating messages from one device to another. These are codified as ITEW16 and classified as e-waste under the E-Waste Management Rules of 2022. If any producer or manufacturer is distributing this device in the market, it means that after the end of the product's life, it will transform into e-waste. Through the E-Waste rules, CPCB implements a mechanic into the system which makes these producers liable for this generated waste. They need to get EPR Authorisation for Answering System before production and recycle, refurbish or dispose of the waste generated from them later on. The liability of e-waste processing depends on the quantity of the items distributed from them in the recent year.
