The Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) was set up by the Ministry of Commerce, Government of India in 1966 to promote the export of the Indian Gem and Jewellery and its products. The primary objective of the GJEPC is to bring about exports of Indian Gem and Jewellery and its products globally and to provide export guidance to the Gem and Jewellery product exporters.
The Council is headquartered in Mumbai with its regional offices in New Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, Surat and Jaipur, all of which are major centers for the industry and works towards boosting the growth of the Indian gems & jewellery industry and its products by conducting international exhibitions, trade fairs, and other trade promotional activities. Also, India’s Gem and Jewellery sector is one of the largest in the world and is the most preferred country in terms of export of the same.
Vision of GJEPC is to make India as the most preferred source for quality gems and jewellery and its mission is to allow every individual associated with this industry to achieve their full potential.
