GJEPC Certificate

The Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) was set up by the Ministry of Commerce, Government of India in 1966 to promote the export of the Indian Gem and Jewellery and its products. The primary objective of the GJEPC is to bring about exports of Indian Gem and Jewellery and its products globally and to provide export guidance to the Gem and Jewellery product exporters.

The Council is headquartered in Mumbai with its regional offices in New Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, Surat and Jaipur, all of which are major centers for the industry and works towards boosting the growth of the Indian gems & jewellery industry and its products by conducting international exhibitions, trade fairs, and other trade promotional activities. Also, India’s Gem and Jewellery sector is one of the largest in the world and is the most preferred country in terms of export of the same.

Vision of GJEPC is to make India as the most preferred source for quality gems and jewellery and its mission is to allow every individual associated with this industry to achieve their full potential.

• Organizing Trade

Several important trade shows held in the country like the India International Jewellery Show (IIJS) Premiere, IIJS Signature, and the India Gem & Jewellery Machinery Expo (IGJME) are organized by GJEPC to showcase the talent of the individuals associated with this business.

IIJS Premiere is the largest gems and jewellery fair in the country and among the top three internationally. It attracts visitors and buyers from all over India and the world.

IIJS Signature is a smaller-scale version of the IIJS Premiere, was set up as a boutique show and has gone on to develop its own niche.

IGJME, a more recent addition to the bouquet of shows, filled in an important gap – a trade fair devoted completely to technology and thereby enabling companies of this large manufacturing center to access the cutting-edge developments in the field.

India Pavilions, which is organized by GJEPC internationally, witness the participation of a number of companies under the GJEPC banner and at various leading international platform.

For New Registration

• Here are the following documents that we need to furnish to register for GJEPC: -
• Import Export Code (IEC) issued by the licensing authorities concerned
• Proof of self-attested GST
• Personal Account Number (PAN)
• Aadhar Card
• Small Scale Industries (SSI), Industrial Entrepreneur Memorandum (IEM), MSME (Udyog Aadhaar Memorandum) registration certificate
• Online generated signature paper signed by the forwarding agent such as the owner, a partner, investor (as per) and verified by the bank of the world-class
• Memorandum and Articles of Association (MOA) in the case of companies
• Partnership deed in the case of partnership firms

Along with the above-mentioned documents, the Chartered Accountant’s Certificate mentioning Export Turnover or Domestic Turnover in respect of GJEPC’s products for the last two years should be enclosed in case of merchant exporter.

For Renewal

• Here are the following documents that we need to furnish for GJEPC RCMC Renewal: -
• Self-attested copy of import-export code number issued by the affiliated authority
• Original Registration Certificate (RCMC)
• Online renewal of membership created
• A copy of the online produced newsletter.
• Self-attested partnership document (if partnership firm)
• Memorandum and article of association (if the firm is a private limited company)
• An authenticated true copy of SSI, IEM, MSME Registration Certificate for Producer Exporter, issued by the concerned authority
• Cover letter
