For What a Police Verification Certificate Be Used For?

What is the duration of the Police Verification Certificate's validity?
Traditionally, police verification certificates have no specified validity; nevertheless, depending on the needs of the separate inquiring authority, the certificate may need to be renewed. Furthermore, police verification certificates are only given to people who are at least 18 years old.
The Procedure for Obtaining a Police Verification Certificate
Until recently, obtaining a police verification certificate required a visit to one's local police station. The procedure was lengthy and time-consuming. Individuals can now apply online and receive their certificate within 15 to 30 days of submitting their application.
The application process for PVC/PCC can be classified into the following categories based on nationality and current residence:
- Residents of India who are Indian nationals
- Indian nationals residing in countries other than India
- Inhabitants of India who are foreign nationals
Residents of India who are Indian nationals
These people must submit an application for verification using the Passport Seva Kendra (PSK) website. The procedure entails:
- Individuals must first register and fill out an application form.
- Individuals will also need to pay application fees before they may book an appointment.
- Applicants must personally submit the desired documents at the PSK closest to them.
- Applicants will be subjected to police verification at their indicated place of residence after submitting their documentation. Applicants will be required to be present during the verification process.
- The certificate can then be picked up in person at the PSK office. Alternatively, the certificate can be sent to the applicant's registered address via speed post.
- After the initial request, it normally takes 15 to 20 days to obtain an answer.
Indian Nationals Residing in Countries other than India
Indian nationals residing outside of India must contact the appropriate Indian diplomatic post or mission, which has legal jurisdiction over the applicant's domicile. The applicant will always have to apply for the certificate in person.
Inhabitants of India who are Foreign Nationals
Foreign nationals resident in India are required to apply using the e-FRRO portal (Foreigners Regional Registration Office). Please note that once an application has been submitted, applicants are not permitted to leave India until the verification certificate has been issued. The certificate takes between one and three weeks to be issued.

What is the Procedure for Registering a Police Verification Certificate? (UP)
- Visit the Official Website of the Uttar Pradesh Police Department
- Go to the Citizens Services section of the homepage.
- Now select Create Citizen Login Id from the drop-down menu.
- Type in your name, phone number, email address, and password, then click the Submit button.
- Now, go to Forgot Password, type in your username, and then click Reset Password.
- You will now get a password through text message to your phone number.
- Enter your mobile number and the password that was issued to your mobile number to log in.
How to Submit an Application for Employee Verification
- Go to the official website of the Uttar Pradesh Police Department.
- Go to the Citizen Service section of the homepage.
- Enter your username and password to log in.
- After you’ve logged in, go to जनहित गारंटी अधिनियम / नागरिक सेवाएं,
- Select Employee Verification / कर्मचारी सत्यापन
- Now fill in the relevant information, such as employer information, employee information, current job information, and self-declaration information.
- Finally, press the Submit button.
Status of the Police Verification Certificate
- Go to the official website of the Uttar Pradesh Police Department.
- Go to the Citizen Service section of the homepage.
- Enter your username and password to log in.
- After you’ve logged in, go to खोज स्थिति [Search Status],
- Now click on सर्विस का प्रकार
- Now choose the Option कर्मचारी सत्यापन
- Fill in the Application Number and Application Year.
- Your application's status will now be displayed on the screen.
Download the Police Verification Certificate
Follow the steps below to obtain a copy of the Police Verification Certificate:-
- Go to the CCTNS portal, which is located at cctnsup.gov.in/CitizenPortal.
- Enter your Username and Password to log in.
- After that, click on खोज स्थिति
- Fill in the required information and press the Submit button.
- Select Print from the drop-down menu.
- Your Police Verification Certificate UP will now be downloaded to the download folder in your browser.
Form for Police Verification
The applicant can also download the application form and fill out the Police verification application form offline before uploading it to the CCTNS portal.
To apply via the Offline Form, go to the CCTNS portal and download the Application Form.
- Visit the CCTNS official website
- Click on Citizen services and then Select डाउनलोड करें और ई फार्म जमा करें
- Now Select the Form you wish to download
- After filling out the form, log in and Upload the Scanned Form.
