Online FSSAI Central License

Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) is a GOVERNING body which has been created under the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006 and lays down standards and rules for food articles and controls their production, storage, distribution, sale, and import to ensure availability of safe, healthy and nutritious food for human consumption.

FSSAI provides an opportunity for all FBOs (Food Business Operators) to apply online for a Central food license with the help of the Online Licensing System. It is mandatory for any FBOs falling under the central licensing category to get FSSAI central license before getting into any food business operations.

Sub-categories of Central licensing are subdivided into Manufacturing, Processing, Export, Import, Trading, Retail, Hotel, Canteen, Dhaba, Restaurant, Packing, Distribution, Storage, Transportation, Warehousing, Sales, Re-packing, Re-labeling, Wholesale, Club and Resorts.
