On January 7, 2025, the Bureau of Indian Standards posted new Indian standards, which came into effect from 31 December 2024. This post follows the direction given by The Bureau of Indian Standards Rules under 2018 and Sub-rule (1) of Rule (15). These standards are, therefore, of great importance in industries that produce industrial process measurement and control systems. It ensures international safety and performance norms are being met by its products. Improving the activities of the industry with the worldwide standard can better give safer product consumption among people, increasing the reliability and trustworthiness of the industries to everyone.

Implications for industry
Updates from BIS are crucial because these make the Indian standards come on par with the international standards. The industries should be prepared to welcome this change by seeing how things have been so far. Everything needs to comply with the new versions before it becomes non-receptive of old ones. This adjustment time provides an opportunity for manufacturers to alter their processes and products. If they prepare in advance, companies will avoid later problems and be able to fulfill the new demands. Industries are allowed to grow and compete in the global market by keeping up to date.
New standards by the Bureau of Indian Standards will be a giant leap for industries. These ensure that the products are safe and in compliance with international rules. Thus, improvement of products with trustworthiness from customers can be achieved. The change will make the industry grow and compete better in the world market with safer choices.
